In the introduction we explain what to except during your asbestos awareness course, and how the course works.
What is Asbestos
In this section you will learn more about what asbestos is, and where it comes from. There are 6 forms of asbestos, which fall into 2 groups. We also talk about the 3 common forms of asbestos, how it is used, and also the risks that come with it.
Health effects of Asbestos
In this section we talk more about the health related risks and diseases associated with asbestos. We then look at the story of a gentleman named Chris Morgan who very sadly contracted one the diseases, and we have a look at the impact it had not only on him but also his family.
Legislation
In this section we talk about the legislations associated with asbestos, and the training required. The asbestos regulations set a maximum amount of asbestos you can be exposed to, and we talk more about this during this section. We also look at the duty to manage asbestos, identification of asbestos and asbestos risk assessment.
Where is it and what does it look like
There are 13 deadly forms of asbestos, and in this section we look through these in more detail.
What do I do if I find Asbestos?
What to do with asbestos upon discovery depends on a couple of factors such as, has it been disturbed, and has it been damaged or not. In these final videos we look at what to do should you find asbestos, and also working with asbestos.
